Angela Bulloch is a Canadian artist renowned for her exploration of abstract geometry and systems art. She is best known for her multimedia installations, which incorporate elements such as video, sound, light, and printed matter to create interactive environments. Her early work included a series of sculptures made out of Epson printer cartridges and Legos, which she referred to as “Pixel Clouds.” Bulloch also gained notoriety through her exploration of generative music, working with Max Mathews, a pioneer of computer music, to develop an interactive installation titled “Max/MSP/Jitter.” She was an important figure in the 1990s group of Young British Artists, exhibiting alongside Damien Hirst and Tracey Emin in the now infamous “Freeze” exhibition. Other notable works include “Table” (1996), “Prague Table” (1996), and “The Star: Non-Linear Sculpture” (1999).
